CHEAPART opens on December 1st at Cheapart Gallery (Exhareia Square) and  CAMP Contemporary Art Meeting Point (Kotzia Square) in Athens. 
CHEAPART 2012  is the 18th consecutive show in Athens Greece and the primary event to represent CHEAPART’S network of large-scale contemporary art exhibitions all over Europe.
CHEAPART has created the conditions under which artists, curators and institutions have exchanged opinions and developed collaborations and partnerships.
Through CHEAPART shows, artists have the opportunity to expand their reach to a global level, and experience the impact of a major large-scale cultural event that attracts thousands of visitors each year.
CHEAPART 18 is opening with over 150 international artists.

On October 6 CHEAPART will embrace the 5th major city of its European network.For one week, more than 200 selected artists from all over Europe will have the chance to meet one another, exchange ideas and present their work to the public. CHEAPART is a unique art market model in which more than 2,500 works will be sold directly by the artists to the public at the single price of 80€. The profit from the works sold go directly to the artist. CHEAPART is a growing network of art lovers, collectors, art-related professionals and the wider public, meeting place for the art world. CHEAPART Amsterdam 1 is organized by Art4Elkaar Foundation and CHEAPART Foundation.

HALALI - Die Jagd nach dem Zeitgenössischen Vernissage: Mi., 23. Mai 2012, 19 Uhr

 29 ausgewählte Künstler setzen sich mit dem Kosmos der Jagd - in der Gegenwartskunst eine Marginalie - auseinander. Traditionelle Jagdszenen und –stillleben, geprägt von technischer Brillanz, sind dem Betrachter von heute nicht unbekannt, aber gibt es einen künstlerischen Ankerpunkt zu der derzeitigen Sicht auf das Thema? Wird die Jagd nicht zu oft mit veralteter Tradition, die in modernen Zeiten nichts zu suchen hat, gleichgesetzt? Diesen Vorurteilen möchte die Ausstellung entgegentreten.

Da wird der High Heel zur Trophäe, da verblüfft das bildgewordene Wort, da transformiert sich der Fuchs zur Henne. Ein Jäger wird zum Märchenerzähler. Der zwischenmenschliche Jagdtrieb ist zum Greifen nahe, Frauentrophäen sammeln sich auf Geweihen. Die bedrohte Herde wird zum kollektiven Jäger und das Opfer wird zum Täter.
